A Podcast? Where do I find one?
There are hundred, even thousands of podcast produced every week from all over the world. Who has the time to search out and listen to everyone in the hopes of finding one that holds your interest? You can search through itunes, reading description after description, and when you finally find one that sounds interesting, you might find it has not been updated for three years.
There are several places you can go for information to make life a bit easier.
The Podcast Place – The Podcast Place is out site, so we highly recommend it (of course). This is a blog run by some true podcast fans who post daily updates, some with audio samples, of podcasts they find worth listening too. There is no ratings, or opinions, just a new post every time a worthwhile podcast is posted.
Podcast Alley – This is probably the most well-known of the podcast reviewers. Run by Chris McIntyre, this wonderful site has reviews, interviews, a forum and much more. It is still the place where most podcasters hope to get a good rating. If you listen to podcasts at all, you’ll know that most plead for you vote on Podcast Alley.
The Podcast Pickle – The Podcast Pickle has everything you need to start enjoying podcasts. Podcast Pickle works with the software you already have. They have a podcast rating system, a forum, a free pickle player and various other features.
Edgy Review – This is a podcast from That Podcast Show about podcasts. Hosted by Daniel and Jana, this weekly show reviews podcasts. They two have nice chemistry and give an honest, personal opinions of the shows they listen to. There is also a website that has links to every show they talk about.
NPR Podcast Directory – NPR has a nice place to find podcasts. You can sort in various way and come up with a custom list just for you
There are plenty of places to find good podcast. If you know of one, don’t keep it a secret, let the rest of the world in on it.
