I listened to 3 episodes of The Wrong Foot Comedy Podcast before I wrote this review. I did so because I didn’t find the first one all that funny and wanted to give it a fair chance before I wrote this. Unfortunately, I did not find this show all that funny.

I was put off almost immediately do to the constant distortion of the dialogue. This was something I just couldn’t figure out the point of the strange effects on the voices, which got so bad at some points that I could not understand what was being said. I thought for a minute that maybe it was one person doing all the voices and that is why this was done, but I was wrong. The show features the talents of 10 people. The only thing I can thing of is it was a gimmick done to be different. If I was part of The Wrong Foot, I’d ask myself if this really adds anything to the show or does it just irritate the audience.

I’d also like to point that strange, weird or different does not necessarily mean funny. And The Wrong Foot Comedy Podcast was strange and weird but I didn’t find it funny. Many of the sketches seem to just meander around, not really doing anywhere, and not making me laugh. There were moments when the show did get amusing but those were few and far between.

You know, comedy is a very subjective thing. While I didn’t find this show funny, you might. The show is only about 30 minutes long and you might want to give it a try. If you think it is funny, please leave a comment.

Jordan, Chris and Warren are the host of the humor talk show called Horsetrack Hooligans. The three of them have a nice, entertaining chemistry that I really enjoy listening too.

The shows are about an hour or under and are really just the three of the host talking about whatever they want. I don’t even know if the topics are planned. I assume they are.

I can’t really think of more to say. It’s talk, it’s funny and you should give it a listen.

Imagine you had some sort of recording device next to you and you just spilled that idea into the recorder. The thing is, this recorder could only record for 3 minutes, 14 seconds. The ideas vary from day to day, so sometimes you do weird voices or sing, whatever it takes to express what was in your head. This is what I image when I hear the Natty Bumperpodcast.

Do I like the Natty Bumperpodcast? Yes I do. It is can be funny, quirky, or just insane from show to show. I listened to a dozen of these podcasts (like I said, they were under 4 minutes), and sometimes I laugh, other times I was just confused. That’s OK, since they are so short.

It is a comedy podcast, hosted by named Natty Bumpercar. Is that his real name? I assume not but you never know but that fits in the

The show is very family friendly. I find that refreshing. While some shows seem to be well thought out and well produced, other seems to be as if Natty just recorded himself for a few minutes and that was the show.

I don’t know what else to write about this strange little show but I think some words I got off the Natty Bumpercar website in which he describes himself as “big fan of making all kinds of stuff”.

Listen for yourself. It is only 3 minutes, 14 seconds!

I have to admit that when I first listened to Cinemasochist I was a little put off. I can’t really remember which episode I listened to but it seemed to be a lot of giggle between the guys on this show, too much like a bunch of drunken frat boys than a talk show.

One more problem I had while I first listened to this was I had just review two other podcast with similar formats, We Hate Movies and Proudly Resents, and this one seemed to be the weakest of the three.

What Cinemasochists is a podcast a group of friends who watch older films that were commercial failures and review them to see if they were as bad as they remember, rate them and reflect to see if the film had any redeeming qualities. The hosts are Sean, Michael and Jacob and, for the most part they do a good job, both insightful and funny. Occasionally they bring guests who they allow to pick the film that week. Shows are usually done weekly, but not always, and are between 30 to 45 minutes.

There are times when it seems all cast members attempt to talk at once and many times one ends up trying to talk louder than the rest, resulting in heavy distortion. There is one member who seems to talk about sex and breasts a lot, funny at times, other times not. I think that a little more preparation might be helpful to the show, as I heard a few dead moments when it seemed no one had anything to say.

I have subscribed to this show and am in the process of listening to every episode. As I listen, I realize the show is getting better as they go on. I definitely recommend this podcast and give it a rating of 0. (You need to listen to the show to understand this rating).

Before I begin I want to point out that this review is my personal opinion and if this podcast sounds like something you would like, you should give it a listen and judge for yourself.

The first thing about Awkward Moments with Collin A. Bullock that I heard was a 3 or 4 minute segment about how you should help him get a larger audience. Begging for money or listeners is not something I’m fond of. I would advise Collin not to do this anymore. This is the type of thing that might really put off a first time listener.

Collin A. Bullock is a stand up comedian and his show, Awkward Moments with Collin A. Bullock, is Collin, interviewing other comedians.

The show I listened to was an interview with comedian, Jacob Williams. The interview faded in, as the two were already in mid-conversation with no introduction or bio. They began by talking about some contest that Jacob won, with no explanation of the contest. It could have been a bake-off for all I know. This was the feeling of the whole show. It was as if Collin forgot about his audience and that he and Jacob were having a personal conversation. Not once did I hear a quick explanation of the subject matter to help us, the audience, understand what was being talked about.

The sound quality bothered me as well. Sometime it sounded like one of the two leaned back, away from the mic to the point in which they were hard to hear. Maybe they were sharing a microphone, who knows.

I think that is you knew these two, you might have appreciated this show. For those who are not part of this stand up comedy scene, you, like me, might be bored.

I might be being unfair here since I never finished the long, 1.5 hour podcast. I tried but I kept losing concentration and when I realized that 15 minutes had passed by and I had no recollection of what had been being said, it was time to turn it off.

On the positive side, He is well spoken and he did a comedy bit about growing old near the beginning that I found amusing.

Advice, introduce your guest and let the audience into the conversation, don’t beg, and maybe shorten the show a bit.

The best thing to do it ignores the child and hope that he learns his current behavior is not the way to get attention.

The show I am reviewing is called Shut Up Tim!: A Podcast By Robby.

I really don’t have a problem with swearing at all. Yet, when I hear people who are obviously trying to be “shocking”, as if that is enough to be entertaining, I have to ignore the child.

This is show features a few friends who talk about Pop Culture, sex and whatever else they have on their mind. There were times I enjoyed this show but those time were few and far between. It seemed like every time this show began to be entertaining, one of the three would yell out something “shocking” a ruin what I was finding enjoyable.

Have you ever been around a bunch of young teenagers who are trying to one up each other with insults and “gay” references? Did you enjoy it? If so, this show might be for you.

I really thought that these hosts were all under 16 years old. I really did. Such of the talk sounded more like something a young virgin would say trying to impress his friends.

They do have some sort of trivia game they play as well.

Maybe it is just me. Maybe I’m just too old to unbiasedly review this podcast.

Like always, you should give this a try, but I will warn you that this is not for younger or more sensitive listeners.

Four episodes might sound like a lot but some episodes are as short as 6 minutes, and the longest I heard was about 15 minutes.

Generally this podcast is a comedy show, done in a news format, with Canadian political overtones, although the second show I listened to was an interview with comedian Christina Walkinshaw. While not hysterically funny, Pitch This did provide me with a few laughs. It is faced paced show with sound clips from TV, movies and such in between. That leads me to one complaint, and that is the sound quality. The sound levels are in need of fixing. I found myself turning up the podcast to hear Mad Dug and Anthony only to have a sound bite be way too loud. Also, I understand that the two of them are doing the fast pace newscaster thing, but sometimes they talked way too fast for me to catch what they were saying. This also could have been that I am also an American and Pitch This is a Canadian podcast and I assume the political humor is geared to a Canadian audience.

If you are looking for something quick and funny, you might want to give Mad Dug and Anthony’s Pitch This podcast.
