“Just My Show” Podcast Review

just_my_showA gentleman named Eric sent me an email asking me to take a listen to his retro pop culture podcast, called Just My Show and he wanted to know what I think. I immediately downloaded two episodes.

I’ll be honest right away, The subject matter is something that really doesn’t interest me. The first was a interview with Barry Williams and the second, an interview with Jack Hues from Wang Chung. Although I grew up in the 60’s, I was never a huge Brady Bunch fan and my musical taste at far from Wang Chung.

The most important part of any podcast is passion. Is the creator of the podcast really enjoy what he or she is doing, or is it just a job. I can say without hesitation that Eric Greenberg, the host and executive producer of Just My Show, has a strong passion for what he his doing. You can tell within seconds that he is not only enjoying his interview, but has a passion for the work of his guests. He’s been doing this since 2006 and no one does this for four years unless it is something they love to do.

The shows are very well produced and vary in length from around a half hour to and hour and include interviews with the likes of Burt Young of “Rocky”/”Back to School”, Dennis Haskins of “Saved by the Bell”, Gary Sandy of “WKRP in Cincinnati”, Ted Lange of “The Love Boat”, Tom Wopat of “The Dukes of Hazzard”, Tony Dow of “Leave it to Beaver”, “The Great Space Coaster” Cast Reunion, and much more. Also, each show contains a segment on pop culture news.

I believe that if you’re into pop culture, you will get a kick out of this show.
